If so, this is the perfect workshop to step in and learn through clear guidance all about yoga asana (poses) and how to enjoy flowing through a yoga class with mindfulness, open-heartedness and fun!
You will learn the foundations of body alignment and also gain an understanding of the ‘8-limb path of yoga’ that guides the physical practice and then makes it relevant to our lifestyle. This leads us on a fascinating path from understanding mindful movement and breath awareness towards a lighter and brighter experience of being agile and settled in our body and mind- on and off the yoga mat! Amanda will break down a selection of key poses and then bring them together in a flow to combine strength, flexibility, agility, creativity and relaxation.
Throughout, Amanda will introduce teachings from the inspiring traditions of yoga, in an easily accessible way so that we embody these in the experience of the practice.
The workshop will allow you to try things out and ask questions, experiment, play, laugh and learn.
By the end of the workshop you will feel confident in your knowledge to be able to step into classes or a personal practice.
Amanda has been teaching yoga in London for the last 7 years. Her personal and teaching practices encompass both dynamic forms (vinyasa flow) and still, meditative practices (yin and restorative yoga).
