TRANCE DANCE JOURNEY 2017 by Maria Fonseca

This is an invitation to journey in, dissolve mundane matters and dance into a more expanded state of consciousness. In big cities like London it is fundamental to create sacred environments and practises in which one can feel safe to connect, let go and expand. Rituals such as Trance Dance are vital to keep us in touch with deeper aspects of ourselves, to return home, to a place of love, joy, clarity and well-being. Trance Dance is the time and space for that. An opportunity to release any limiting patterns and focus on what truly matters for you, now, in your evolution as a human being so that you can live to your full potential! Everyone from different paths of life is welcome, no previous experience required. WHAT IS TRANCE DANCE ? Trance dancing has its roots in ancient shamanic traditions, it has been practised for more the 35 thousand years in various tribes & cultures around the world as a medium of altering consciousness through dancing to powerful rhythms that help connect to our spiritual realm. This 'trance' state which can be compared to the periods of deep sleep & dreams, taps into the most subconscious parts of ourselves where true healing, clarity and insight can take place and unswears to questions can be found. This journey is a modern adaptation of such rituals for a generation of people that are part of a fast paced world that so often get’s us lost amongst its numerous distractions. Trance Dance uses a blindfold to help induce an expanded state of consciousness, a transformational breathing technique and intuitive body movements. Join us…allow yourself to go beyond the world of the five senses and open new doors and possibilities within your being. Every time you will step into the unknown darkness you will gradually learn to surrender to the state and are likely to attain deeper experiences . Every journey is a new journey, a new opportunity to ride into yourself and beyond. BOOK A CLASS NOW link Yin Club: Thy will be still. In yin yoga we use long held postures to release blockages in prana (or qi) in the body. We work deep into the fascia and connective tissue in the body to a place your regular dynamic yoga practice won't access. We will open up the energy channels (nadis/meridians) and try to move this energy through the body, releasing tension, stress, tightness but also emotions, thoughts and vrittis (fluctuations of the mind). Working from the Anamaya Kosha to the Pranamaya Kosha (The physical to the energetic sheath). Increasingly, experienced vinyasa yoga practitioners find the slow passive release of yin is a much needed complement to their regular dynamic "yang" practice. It will be challenging physically and mentally but in a more unexpected way for those who think that Yin is just about "doing nothing". It is the Andrex of Yoga, soft and strong. We will work through traditional yin yoga postures and some that may be new to all. "See your thoughts, don't be your thoughts."
