Professionally she has worked with Andre Gingras, Bawren Tavaziva, Shobana Jeyasingh, Akram Khan and Union Dance amongst others. From 2006-2010 she worked with Company Decalage as co- director and made works in collaboration “Appel” and “Breaking Point” (place prize semi finals 2008). In 2009 she made “Amaranthine” with Kevin Edward Turner and was awarded the Choreodrome scholarship programme to research and develop her own work. In January 2010 she joined Eastman, the company of Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui with the creation of Babel (words). Since then she has danced and taught internationally for the company. In 2011 she assisted Larbi on the choreography for the feature film “Anna Kerenina” directed by Joe Wright and featured as a dancer. 2013 will be her 4th year with the company and she continues her relationship with the company as dancer and assistant. She has made two new works with him, a group work “Puz/zle” and a new duet “Sin”. Most recently she assisted him on “A season in the Congo” a theatre play at the Young Vic, London also directed by Joe Wright.

WORKSHOP/TALKING BODIES

The workshop will begin with a dynamic warm up drawing from the many techniques I have researched including elements from yoga, martial arts, floor work and contemporary dance. We will focus on finding freedom in movement, taking the attention to breath in order to recycle energy and use the body efficiently. Looking at concepts of risk, trust, moving with necessity, instinct, speed, fragility, softness and tensión. Through an open and process driven atmosphere, I will slowly encourage theatrical inputs and images to give meaning to movement. Using specific energies and clear images to enhance creativity and physicality. Each participant will be invited to create their own material as well as develop and transform taught repertoire phrases inspired by the companies I have worked with.

Kneepads recommended.
