Throughout the winter Ben has been in the studio working on solo improvisation practices, He wil share some of these, and we'll see experimentally how they can be used (or maybe can't!) in a group improvisation environment. Specific current interests are on the relationship and transitions between pathways, phrasing and movements. There'll be an overarching attitude that generating movement is not the end point of improvisation, but rather sharp and articulate dancing that is relevant to the situation and communicative to all participants and audience.
Ben graduated from TrinityLaban before going on to complete the training cycle at P.A.R.T.S. (BE). Now he regularly works as a performer and researcher for, among others; Charlotte Spencer Projects, Vera Tussing, Francesco Scavetta/Wee and Benjamin Pohlig & Sunniva Vikør Egenes. He also practices Aikido at Tetsushinkan/MovingEast and enjoys wandering around mountains and barefoot running. .
