Anna’s class will work with the principle of togetherness in a daily practice; developing individual skills whilst being part of a community.
The warm up will consist in a series of cyclical repetitions working on the functionality of the body. From there we will take our dancing further through both improvisation and set sequences. There is going to be space to explore and challenge spacial orientation, qualities and rhythm.
Anna is from Barcelona where she trained at the 'Conservatori Superior de Dansa de l’Institut del Teatre'. After this she took a brief break from dance, obtaining a degree in journalism – feeding her other passion of writing. Afterwards, she moved to England to continue her dance career and graduated from 'The Northern School of Contemporary Dance'. Anna now combines both of her passions, and is currently producing written work for the online dance source Au-di-tions.com.
During her time in England she has been able to learn and create work with such noted choreographers as James Finnemore, Hagit Yakira, Sally Marie and Gemma Harrison. She has also created two collaborative dance theatre pieces, ‘Romeo&Julien’ and ‘Las 3 Marias’.
