The collective comes together every Friday 11am-12:30pm at TripSpace to teach an open class.
Dancers and anyone eager to improve their contact skills are welcome.
Each session is led by one or several members of the collective.
Surfaces and support
First exploring our relationship with the floor and our surrounding environment, pushing away from, offering resistance, floating, rolling, sliding, melting and receiving. We then move into using this playful and diversity of approach with others, opening a practice into the art of lifting and being lifted. Aiming to be effortless by attending to the fine-tuning shared connection.
In this CI basics, we delve deeper into what it means to be supported, allowing ourselves to be supported and trusting as well as offering stable structures to play with. Intending to approach the task in a playful and light explorative way.
