These are contact improvisation classes lead by the TRIPCI collective.
TRIPCI is a London based contact improvisation collective of 10 experienced CI practitioners, dance artists and teachers from various backgrounds and influences such as BMC, physical theatre, choreography, Feldenkrais, contemporary dance, yoga, massage to name a few.
The collective comes together every Friday 11am-12:30pm at TripSpace to teach an open class.
Dancers and anyone eager to improve their contact skills are welcome.
Each session is led by one or several members of the collective.
Originally from Trento (Italy), Laura started her dance journey in her hometown where she got her A levels and Dance Diploma at Liceo Coreutico Bonporti in 2011. In 2015 she graduated from London Contemporary Dance School.
Since then, Laura has been performing in works by Anders Duckworth, Quang Kien Van, Natalia Iwianec, Kiung Mi Hu and Flora Wellesly Wesley. She worked at Glundebourne Opera House under the direction of Meli Steel and with choreographies by Mike Ashcroft. She is currently working for Cie MF (Lyon) and Compagnia Natiscalzi (Italy).
Laura is also one of the founding members of The Sparse Collective, a group of international dance artists who specialise in Improvisation into Performance; with whom she has performed at Teatro Verdi (Sassari), Agitart Festival (Spain), Teatro La Grieta and Espacio Cultural Zona Tango (Argentina) and in numerous London venues.
Alongside her Contemporary Dance practice Laura has been performing and teaching Argentine Tango since 2017. In April 2018 she gained the 5th position in the UK tango Championship.
