Each session is led by one or several members of the collective. In this CI class we will dance alone, we will dance in duos and we will dance in group. We will start by tuning into to the ebb and flow of our breath refining the perception of our inner body, our outer body as it moves in space and our dancing partner’s body as we flow in contact.
Hip halves and launch pads
The pelvis is the largest and heaviest region of the body. It is center for both movement and stability and is responsible for translating information from the lower part of the body to the upper part of the body and vice versa.
In this class we will explore launching, landing, receiving and propelling our own and each others pelvises through inversions and spiralling.
We will dance alone, we will dance in duos and we will dance in group finding flight and softness through the incredible architecture of this wonderous bony structure.
Plenty of modifications offered for practitioners at different levels of experience. All welcome.
