Igor and Moreno's class aims to prepare body, mind and voice for the working day. It imagines a context for physical and vocal training in which leadership is shared. A structure is set up for performers to do what they need whilst becoming aware of (and getting involved in) what other members of the group need. The purpose is to increase self-discipline and group connections; being responsible for doing what you need whilst developing awareness of what others need; developing a sense of what we can offer and what we can take from others..
Igor and Moreno are two London-dance artists. They make work about people and what makes us such special animals - departing from an interest in human relationships and the complex dynamics between asserting ourselves as individuals whilst needing to belong and be part of something larger than ourselves.
Beyond their extensive international touring they have received recognitions, including: Rudolf Laban Award (2010); special mention at Prix Jardin D’Europe 2010; National Dance Awards 2015 and Total Theatre Awards 2015 nominees; selected for Aerowaves 2011, 2013 and 2015, British Council Showcase 2015 and British Dance Edition 2016. Their are associates of The Place (London) and TIR Danza (Italy).
