This Trip The Light Fantastic Toe will unfold slightly differently from the regular ol' Trip The Light...
We are bringing poetry to our curatorial palette.
We are delighted to be able to present such a beautiful programme and
catch FAT MAN just before it goes on national tour.
Expect technology, improvisation and a full hour of storytelling.
TIM MURRAY-BROWNE AND JAN LEE present: THIS FLOATING WORLD
Endlessly sensing each other: the human, the camera and the digital living environment. A contemporary dance solo performed in an interactive environment of computer generated visuals and sound. Bridging the physical and the digital, this space amplifies the dancer’s expressivity in her search for a moment of oneness with the world.
SEKE CHIMUTENGWENDE presents SOLO IMPROVISATION
Since 2006, Seke has performed over 50 solo improvisations at such diverse venues as Findhorn Universal Hall (Scotland), Alexandrinsky Theatre (St. Petersburg), TripSpace (Hackney, London), Tanzfabrik (Berlin), Chisenhale Dance Space, and Servant Jazz Quarters (Dalston, London). Seke usually works with movement and text and generally performs without any pre-planned structure or theme, preferring to find both in the moment of performance.
STEN RUDSTROM presents a IMPROVISATION #194.5
An empty room. he enters the stage. from out of the emptiness he crafts a landscape of dance, speech and song. at the intersection of the present, imagination and life experience he molds himself into the stories of strange characters, pictures, places and things. a wild, unpredictable, unique journey through raw human nature.
Sten Rudstrøm has been improvising for 25 years. He teaches/ performs internationally, founded the improvisation group EAT and is a member of Streugut Since1986, he has worked with Ruth Zaporah/Action Theater™. He currently has a 4 year old son and is re-learning how to improvise and let go of outcomes.
MOVE TO STAND in association with LITTLEMIGHTY present: FAT MAN
Orpheus is doing stand-up for the gods.
A sharp new take on a classic Greek myth, this is a bitterly funny story of love, loss and eating your way out of grief. As the audience are transformed into the gods of legend, will Orpheus ever escape his past?..There might even be a song.
“For theatre like this, I’d follow Bonger to the ends of the earth.”
“Funny, immersive and surprisingly emotional.”
Plays to See
“Entertaining and at times exceptional”
