This Trip The Light is part of our SummerTanz mini-Festival it is sandwiched between two international intensives and therefore has an international flair. The programme features two artists based in London and two artists based in Europe and beyond.

PERFORMANCE PROGRAMME:

EDIVALDO ERNESTO presents IRREVERSIBLE

Edivaldo is a dancer, teacher & improvisation expert.
He has worked with David Zambrano, is a former member of Sasha Waltz and Guests company and is now touring Europe teaching his own improvisation technique: Depth Movement.

Irreversible is a solo improvisation where singular movement qualities, devotion and endurance accommodate into irreversible patterns of profound & colourful effect.

Edivaldo is also leading the SummerTanz intensive from the 31st August- 4th September. link

RICK NODINE presents LAVA LAMP

Rick is based in London.
He is a choreographer, improvisation & choreography lecturer at LCDS and an internationally renown CI teacher. He is a regular Artist in residence at TripSpace.
Lava Lamp is a human breath powered experiment in kaleidoscopic unity, symmetrical energy and asymmetric complexity.

JANINA RAJAKANGAS presents excerpts of DINOSAUR performed by Karolina Kraczkowska and a love song by Si Rawlinson

Janina is based in London.
Her previous work Of Family and Deer toured Finland, Denmark and Norway.
Dinosaur is a reflection on what love really is, how it succeeds and fails and how it is not what we often see it portrayed as.

EMILY TANAKA presents CUBE

Emily is based in Tokio and Berlin.
Cube won Emily the Best Dancer prize in Korea, First prize in Masdanza in 2011 and was programmed at the Rencontre Chorégraphiques Internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis.
Emily is supported by the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs and is currently presenting work internationally.
