A sophisticated yet finger clicking night unfolding the rhythms of Blues, Boogie-woogie and Swing at the grand piano.

6th and 20th of September we present pianist in residence Jackson Baird.

Anglo-American musician Jackson Baird is a self taught improvising multi instrumentalist who performs on keyboards, percussion, guitar and bass. Influences range from Pixinguinha and Ary Barroso to Steve Coleman and Robert Glasper.

Baird has lived and worked as an artist in Belgium, Spain and Brazil and continues to draw on diverse musical cultures to enrich his vocabulary. Baird is currently house pianist at the Dizzy Afro-Latin Jazz jam and now enjoying a residency at Trip-Space to explore both solo piano improvisations and duets with a menaggerie of singers and musicians covering Blues, Swing, experimental and ritual musical forms.

Tuesday the 6th of September | Kozmigroove and free improv

Kozmigroov is a transgressive improvisational music which combines elements of psychedelia, spirituality, jazz, rock, soul, funk, and African, Latin, Brazillian, Indian and Asian influences culminating into an all encompassing cosmic groove.

Tuesday 4th of October| An intimate set of originals, jazz and R&B

Jackson Baird piano & Brian Hedemann drums.
Brian Hedemann plays drums and guitar and also sings and writes his own songs. This coming Tuesday will see him perform with Jackson Baird on the piano. Brian and Jackson have been making music together on and off for the last 14 years and invite you to intimate set of originals, jazz and R&B
