As some of you know my friend Sinuhe was attacked in April whilst walking his puppy in Dulwich Park.
He suffered serious brain injury.
He was airlifted to King’s College Hospital (KCH) and admitted to the Jack Steinberg Critical Care Unit (CCU).
It was touch and go a couple of times, but with the fantastic care her received he held on.
He is now in rehabilitation and working on his road to recovery.
The care that Sinuhe received was remarkable.
Doctors, Nurses and Surgeons worked tirelessly to make sure that he was given every chance to survive and recover.
It has been overwhelming to see just how lucky we are to have an NHS system with such dedicated and hard working staff.
Sinuhe has agreed with Emilie and his family that the best thank you we can offer is to raise money for the new Critical Care Unit at Kings College Hospital.
It looks like it is going to be very progressive and quite incredible!
Most notable is the introduction of a roof garden so that even critically ill patients who need machines to support them will have the option of being taken outdoors into the daylight and fresh air.
Emilie is running a half marathon (just a little impressed!), her brother jack has brewed a bespoke beer to sell at his brewery and I am of course providing the yoga!
It would mean the world to me if you would pop along, donate what you can and come and enjoy the class.
It will be a relaxed 75 min session suitable for all levels.
