Cristina Guitian is a Spanish artist working across illustration, sculpture and installation.
The artist focuses the whimsical narratives of the individuals she draws. She works on three-dimensional art pieces combining industrial found objects with her own wood carvings and introducing dead animal parts. The themes in this work encompass Death and Rebirth and the current role of the past. By juxtaposing obsolete objects with her sculptures, Cristina challenges oblivion and creates her own allegorical world inhabited by fantastical and outlandish creatures.
