The beautiful postures of AcroYoga come alive when we learn the transitions that link them together and create a seamless flow of movement. This workshop will introduce physical principles used for flying which create lightness in the body of the flyer and strength and stability for the base. Effortlessly moving through a continuous stream of postures requires a solid foundation in each of the static poses. We’ll work on refining grips, perfecting foot and hand placements and establishing more accurate lines that will bring your practice more efficiency, grace and sustainability. We will explore some simple yet graceful flows to put into practice everything we learn. Previous flying or basing experience recommended. Variations will be offered accordingly.

Erica Montes first worked with the body though performance art, acrobatics and theatre. She first encountered Yoga and meditation as a teenager and, after years working as an actor, found a common ground between her intensely disciplined theatre work and Eastern practices that promote mindfulness through physical motion. Erica completed her 500 hour Yoga certification with the renowned Edward Clark's Tripsichore Yoga and is a certified level 2 and AcroYoga immersion teacher - as well as a Thai Massage therapist.
