Culture Trip & Aperitivo: A sonic around the world trip without musical borders with complimentary Aperitivo* and all cocktails for £5 served between 5- 7pm... the perfect Friday night to your week!.

Resident DJs on rotation will be carefully selecting a tantalising selection of music on the fantastic new audio install from Mastersounds at the venue. Yes that is right records being played at the right levels working so well alongside the venues fantastic carefully selected range of cocktails, globally inspired classic dishes with a plant based twist.

Musically you will hear rare and wonderful selections and references from the Balearics, AOR, West Coast Soul, Latin, afro-funk, tropical sounds and the more modern sounds...souvenirs of travels through North and Latin America, Africa, Asia and the Caribbean islands and other delightful destinations. Intoxicating tunes, radiant rhythms cascading through the night as the evening progresses come for dinner, enjoy a cocktail or two on the terrace and enjoy the dj’s play through the evening as the lights dim down and the rhythms evolve bringing bodies into Friction and toes begin to tap.

Aperitivo means to open the appetite (“aperire” is “to open” in Latin), and the word refers to both the drink itself, and the ritual of going out for a pre-dinner tipple with some light bites. The TripKitchen & Bar will be offering their version of Aperitivo preparing complimentary delicious selections of small dishes from their globally inspired classic menus with a plant based twists.

Friday 7th with Neil Thornton (Culture Trip)

Culture Trip head honcho Neil Thornton delves into his record collection for an evening of horizontal grooves from around the atlas without any musical barriers or borders to ease you into the weekend. Neil will be playing a tantalizing selection of disco, balearic and rediscovered party unclassics from the past to the present expect the unexpected.


Friday 14th October with Russell Penn (Musica Noche) and a very special guest: Bartosz Kruczynski (one-half of Ptaki / The Phantom)

We welcome back Russell Penn part of the Musica Noche collective, he has been playing since 1989 playing alongside some of the finest djs in the land including Andrew Wetherall, Leftfield and many more. Russ has influences from Prince to Nitzer Eb but an open minded love of all good quality dance music. Russ has a fantastic monthly radio show too on Box Frequency FM link

We are very excited to announce that joining Culture Trip resident Russell Penn is a special guest all the way from Poland we welcome
Bartosz Kruczynski (one-half of Ptaki / The Phantom) who is responsible for one of our favourite LPs of the year Baltic Beat on Growing Bin records. Culture Trip is all about hearing fantastic music from around the atlas without any musical borders it does not get better that this in our opinion.

Friday 21st October with Phil Mison (Cantoma)

We are delighted that Phil Mison is starting a monthly residency with us @ Culture Trip Phil Mison Influenced by listening to legendary chill out DJ Jose Padilla, Phil started his DJ career at London’s Milk Bar in 1991, playing chilled Balearic warm up sets. A chance meeting there with Jose would lead to a two year residency at Ibiza’s Cafe Del Mar, sound tracking a thousand sunsets with his vast collection of sun kissed records.It was his sets there that led him to play at Full Circle, Bugged Out and to become Leftfield’s tour DJ. His huge knowledge of the chill-out genre earned Mison a chance to put out his first compilation “Original Chill Out” in 1995. Since then he has gone onto release a further 15 compilations, including 5 volumes of the hugely popular “Real ibiza” series, “Soundcolors” Phil continues his busy schedule producing and djing all over the globe. He curated “Balearicos” the last two summers, an open air events in London’s Shoreditch. link

Friday 28th Culture Trip presents 'Dance with the Devil'

Demonic Disco, Goblin Horror Soundtracks, weird and wonderful music from all around the atlas from the Culture Trip devilish DJ's and special guests. and the Trip Kitchen and Bar wonderful railway arches transformed into a cavern of darkness for the big weekend. Watch out for Competitions for the best dressed guys and ghouls, special Halloween complementary Aperitivo early doors, cocktails inspired by your favorite horror movie villains and super scary visuals this is one not to be missed folks.
