Anoushka Jago

Anoushka was born in South East London. She began her training at the Centre for Advanced Training at Trinity Laban and the National Youth Dance Company, where she worked with Akram Khan and Andrej Petrovic to create and tour ‘The Rashomon Effect’. The following year she studied on the Foundation Course at Northern School of Contemporary Dance, and was simultaneously a member of WatkinsDance Associates. She then travelled to Israel, attending the International Dance Journey Programme with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company and shortly afterwards to Italy, where she danced at Nuova Officina della Danza (NOD). She returned to England in 2017 to become a member of JV2 under the direction of Marilena Dara and David Lloyd, and toured pieces by Jasmin Vardimon, Yung Kung Song and André Rebelo. She has also performed in works by Rami Be'er, Botis Seva, Olga Stetsyuk and Megan Doheny and collaborates with Hadassah Perry. Anoushka graduated from the Gaga Teacher Training Programme in 2020, under the artistic direction of Bosmat Nossan, Saar Harari and Ohad Naharin. A lover of adventure, and curious about the process of discovering more- be that physically, artistically or personally, Anoushka hopes to create a generous environment where participants feel deeply cared for yet hugely pushed.

Every week, Monday to Thursdays from 11-12:30pm, we invite a dance artist to lead ProDance Training.
In the afternoon the invited artist is usually in residence working on his/her latest creation.
We hope like this to provide a framework in which dance practices might travel between and across the contexts of morning class and rehearsal room and encourage relations between training and choreography.
We also hope to create proximity between dance artists and to provide training that is relevant, useful and engaging thecurrent to London's contemporary dance landscape. You can find who is teaching when here: link
