As we approach the winter solstice join us to enjoy some magic: a warm and intimate evening of yin practice and gong bathing.
Yin Yoga has transformative effects on body and mind.
The gentle but consistent stimulation of the connective tissues encourages long-term health and flexibility of the joints, recharges the energetic systems of the body and naturally draws the mind inward into a relaxed state.
It prepares the body and mind for longer and better quality meditation practice.
The postures are held for longer than usual, embracing the dark shadows, sitting & embracing the discomfort, to be able to welcome comfort in the rebound pose.
Benefiting busy multitasking Londoners, cyclist, runners or just the "always busy type" this workshop aims to to alter observe & lessen the “mind chatter”, and to turn down the “volume” on persistent and negative thought patterns.
The workshop ends with a chakra meditation, surrounded by the sound of the powerful gong with Christine Vogler.
The idea is that we develop mindfulness skills that can be transferred from the mat to everyday life.
A gong bath is a sound therapy, the gong is played in a therapeutic way to bring about relaxation; the term gong bath means that you are bathed in sound waves, (there is no water involved, or clothes removed)
